Mountain View Christian Counseling is available to serve you and your family members.
We specialize in Relational, Emotional, and Addictions Counseling but are willing to help with any concern, or issue you may be dealing with. If need be, we can refer you to other counseling services.
Our counseling is confidential, competent, and Christian in nature. We believe God's Word can help.
Dr. Steven Harness is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor, certified by the
Board of Christian Professional and Pastoral Counselors
and holds a DMIN in Theology and a Ph.D. in Counseling. He is also a certified facilitator for the acclaimed SYMBIS marriage assessment.

- We use the SYMBIS assessment for premarital and post marital counseling. Premarital couples cost is $50 and includes 4 free sessions.
- We use the YADA personality assessment for a personality profile in addition to The Smalley Institute Personality Assessment.
- We provide biblical insights, spiritual practices, and offer Christian solutions to assist in your well-being.

Fees & Info
- Counseling Services are FREE. *There is a suggested donation of $100 per session. Ministry leaders suggested donation is $75.
- 40-45 minute sessions.
- Session Options: ONLINE and IN-OFFICE.
- Resources are often assigned, as needed, and are available in the counseling office for donation per item.
- All donations to Wilton Baptist Church and counseling services are non-refundable gifts. Thank you.

Drawing inspiration from Psalm 121, Mountain View Christian Counseling evaluates, educates, and equips individuals and families with biblical principles to navigate personal choices and circumstances, encouraging and equipping them to look to the Lord for guidance and achieve a healthy, God-centered perspective.

Statement of Program
Mountain View Christian Counseling offers a faith-based approach to help individuals, couples, and families overcome struggles such as addictions, relationship issues, depression, and bitterness.
The process follows a six-step framework:
- Identify the source of the struggle through testing, recounting the past, and asking questions. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
- Introduce clients to Jesus Christ as the solution for their emotional, spiritual, and relational needs. (Colossians 1:20)
- Instruct clients using the Word of God and truth-based resources to provide biblical guidance relevant to their needs. (Proverbs 9:10, 15:33
- Invest in clients dealing with abuse, addictions, depression, or doubt, offering hope and help from God's Word. (Romans 15:13)
- Instill skills, personal discipline, and daily patterns for spiritual and emotional victory through various tools, including Bible instruction, homework, and reading. (Psalm 119:11)
- Inform the community about counseling services through word of mouth and the church's website.
